Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-13
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Drillab (the “Service”), a pronunciation-training app that lets learners practise lesson sentences at home while Drillab checks their pronunciation. By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Daniel Tcytkin (ID 343575410), registered in Georgia (“Drillab”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@drillab.app.
2. The Service
Drillab provides pronunciation practice and automated feedback. Teachers create or assign content; learners listen, record themselves, and receive a pronunciation score. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid access to Drillab is sold as a recurring subscription. New subscriptions start with a 5-day free trial; the price, currency, and billing period that apply once the trial ends are shown at checkout before you confirm. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, billing begins automatically at that price.
Your subscription then renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Payments and Merchant of Record
Our order process and payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for all Drillab purchases. When you buy a subscription, your contract for the purchase is with Paddle. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, billing, sales tax/VAT, and invoicing, and your payment information is provided directly to Paddle — we do not store your card details. Paddle’s own buyer terms also apply to your purchase; see paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
6. Your content
The Service records audio of you speaking so it can score your pronunciation. You retain ownership of your recordings. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and analyse them solely to provide and improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle this data.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful, infringing, or abusive use; no attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access; and no uploading of content you do not have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide, is owned by Drillab or its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the Service as permitted here.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drillab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, liability) continue to apply.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms? Email us at support@drillab.app.
